Back to school!!!!!
These two cute kids stared school a couple weeks ago.
The night before school started we had a little fashion show where Sarah and Caden could show off their new clothes for the year. Caden willingly participated in the fun, although not with quite the same enthusiasm as this little kindergartner.
Sarah was totally hammin' it up for the camera, striking pose after pose as if she was on a real fashion runway. I honestly don't know where she gets this stuff!

The kids hopped right out of bed (probably the only day out of the whole year they will get up without me having to drag them out of bed) and got ready for their first day. Caden was so excited to start 2nd grade. He asked me if their would be more complicated math and science. He loves science. He's super excited for a new challenge.

Sarah was excited for school to start back in June. She wanted to skip summer break all together and get on to school. I had to make her a calendar to help keep track of the time because she was so excited.

She went right in to her class with out a problem. I was kind of hoping she would want me to follow her in, but she didn't. She just recently noticed that full day kindergarten is available at her school and asked me why I didn't put her in it, because she would really like to go all day.
When did I tell her she could grow up so fast?

Up, up and away!!!!!!

How do I choose just one?
We took the kids to see the hot air balloons at Ann Morison Park over the weekend. It was a beautiful sight and I am so glad we didn't miss it. We have taken the kids almost every year to this fun event in Boise and planned on it this year but on Friday night, after the kids first week back at school and a late night I didn't think we would get up for it in the morning. Our little Sarah made sure we made it though. She came running in our room at 7AM and said,
" Mommy, Daddy, wake up, did we miss the balloons?"
Our kids NEVER wake up on their own before 8:30, so we knew she must be excited! Scott could not say no, so he decided he'd get up and take her. I didn't want to miss out on seeing the kids faces as they saw such a beautiful sight so we all ended up going. I am so glad Sarah woke us up!

Scott's favorite balloon. He was so offended that it was not mine too. I just couldn't get good pictures of it because it looked so dull against the blue sky, that's all. GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!

There was this whole family of unicyclers at the park and we were all so fascinated by them. Scott decided that he wants us to all learn to ride unicycles because they would take up less room in our garage and it would be easier to fit them in the car.

Later that night we went down to the park to see the balloons lit up in the night.

Sugar and Spice............
By December Caden and Scott will officially be seriously out numbered! We will be adding a little girl to the family. I have to say that while this came as quite a shock, I am so excited for all the cuteness that comes with girls. Because I already have 2 of them, I assumed that another girl wasn't in thecards for us, and Caden wanted a brother so bad, that I assumed that is what we would have.
Caden was quite shocked! It broke my heart to see him cry, but I know that he will be a wonderful brother to his little sisters, all THREE of them.

Spring Break Nerf Battle

This was my favorite activity of Spring Break! Caden and I planned a nerf battle in our back yard, but the morning of, it was cold and rainy. Luckily my good friend Jen came to the rescue and got us the key to the church so we moved the activity to the gym. It was perfect!
First I had the boys draw out their "battle plans", then they battled it out. Sarah and her friend Elizabeth worked the nurses station tending to the injured soldiers.
We took a break for lunch then battled again. It was so fun to watch the boys having so much fun! I am so glad that Jen helped out with the gym because it even stated snowing while we were there. (spring break always has the craziest weather)
Here are the pictures I narrowed it down to. I know, it's a lot!
Enjoy
