I found this picture collage I made a long time ago. I am randomly posting it because it is so cute and I can hardly believe that Sophia was that small just a few short weeks ago. she is growing up so fast!!!

Whatever it Takes!!!
Sarah came running in this morning yelling,
"it snowed, it snowed!!"
She asked if they could go out and play in it. Realizing that it would probably all melt by the time she got home, how could I say NO?!?
Normally it takes the kids FOREVER to get ready in the morning, but today- they were out in the snow in 5 minutes!
Caden threw a toy for Shy and it landed in the tree. This provided a lot of entertainment for a while.

Sarah was so excited that Shy could wear her sweater!
Caden thought Sophia would enjoy seeing the snow. I don't think she was sure about the cold weather.
Hot chocolate and oatmeal to warm up before they headed off to school--and on time!!! Thank you snow.

Happy Love Day
The kids just LOVE valentine's day because of all the fun activities we do AND probably all the candy they get at their school parties. Sarah was just so excited to participate in her first valentine's day at school. She went through her class list and picked out the perfect card for each kid.
I volunteered in both kids classrooms today with little Soph. It felt so good to be back in the kids' classrooms.
We had our traditional candle light dinner with shrimp, strawberries and a red "love drink." I think that is the kids favorite part, as we only make the drink on this special day, so the kids really look forward to it!
After dinner we read our love mail we've made eachother throughout the month. I love this box! The kids made it back when Hannah was a little baby, now she is the one who got into this tradition the most. I often found her at the art table cutting out little hearts and signing them with an "H" before slipping them into the box.
We hope everyone had a wonderful day of LOVE!

"Bad Luck"
(venting time)
That is the most current answer from one of those "wise" doctors as to why I am STILL in so much pain after nursing/not nursing Sophia.
I guess there is a reason they call it,
"practicing medicine", or a big group of doctors is called a
"practice"
Little Sophia could never nurse very well, so after a lot of pain from little gums biting down, pumping, therapy on her mouth, boiling bottles, pumping more, ointments, medications, lactation consultants, engorgement, and even more pumping, I finally weaned my little one.
And still, after three weeks of not nursing I am still in pain.
I've been treated for fungal infection, mastitis, chest wall inflammation (don't remember the medical term),
and most recently diagnosed with some clogged milk duct thing (don't know the name) which calls for heat packs rather than the ice I'd previously been told to use. I won't mention any names on who prescribed such a treatment, we'll just say I'm very close to him and he may or may not live with me.........
But the heat caused a HORRIFIC pain!
Finally, I talked to the on-call Dr. over the weekend who said,
if she were to guess, I just have a fungal infection again,
and a lot of BAD LUCK!!!
Hopefully my bad luck turns to good luck soon and I can stop providing these
"practices"
any more

U BIN HRD TACK
You've been heart attacked
( I love how when Sarah writes, she throws letters onto the page wherever they fit--it all makes sense to her. She's becoming quite the little writer, but that is a post for another time.)
We planned on giving Daddy a "heart attack". We had the perfect plan. The kids cut out hearts in the morning and the girls and I went to the $ store before Caden got home to pick up some balloons. We were going to drive down to Daddy's work and decorate his car before he got out. Wouldn't he be surprised?!? Unfortunately, on our way to Caden's piano lesson who did we see passing us?
DADDY!
He was headed home early cuz he was sick with the same thing Caden had earlier that week.
Luckily, kids aren't so easily discouraged. We decorated his car while he slept.
Hannah's job was to place candy hearts all over the inside
I had to get a picture of the balloon Hannah chose. She is very afraid of helium balloons floating away so she chose this kind that doesn't float. While we walked out of the $ store with the floaty kind that Sarah chose, she made all of us hold on to then VERY tight and walk really slow. She is so silly!
After Daddy woke up I told him to get something out of his car. The kids were anxiously hiding inside.
Hannah wants to make sure Daddy notices the
hearts she taped on.
Happy Heart Day Daddy!!!!!
We love you.
