Doggy lunch, WOOF, WOOF

Hannah's little friend Anna Celebrates her Birthday the same week as Hannah's so I invited her over for a little doggy theme lunch since that is what Hannah really loves.
If you use your imagination, these look like dogs.

Hot dogs for lunch with Scooby doggie bones on the side.

For some odd reason Hannah was terrified of the candle, I wonder if it had anything to do with Jenna (her cousin) burning her finger the day before by putting the candle out with her fingers. oops! Good thing "Keih-kee" was there to protect her.

Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!
Thank you so much Anna for the soft cuddly dog blanket!! Hannah loves this blanket. She wants to take it everywhere she goes.
Happy Birthday Hannah!!!!!!!!!!
Our little baby just turned two! I am looking back at pictures of her and I just can't believe that she is two already. Where has the time gone? Although she is still my baby more than any of the other kids were at her age, she seems to have gotten so big in the last couple of weeks. She has graduated from constantly begging to be held to, asking me to hold her hand. Wherever we go, be it in the house or away, she says, "hold my hand guys". And we have to hold it just right. She stands there and adjusts her little hand til I am holding it to her liking. Because she has bean asked over a hundred times lately how old she is or how old she will e on her birthday, she has started counting. Last night Caden asked her and she counted to 11. I can't get her to do this again for Daddy, but it was so dang cute! Hannah is just so full of personality! She loves to laugh and she tries really hard to make us laugh. We love you VERY much Hannah.
Birthday pictures soon.....I hope!
Ignorance is Bliss

On Monday we will be getting a new microwave door to replace this one that has a HUGE crack running down the center of the inner glass. You can imagine just how sick I felt when Scott called me to ask if I knew how our microwave door got shattered.
Luckily I didn't notice it in the moment it happened...........

I woke up on the morning of the 23rd (Scott and my 8Th anniversary) feeling a little tired. Being the first day of spring break(no school), I found it highly unnecessary to rush out of bed. I took my time getting up and getting dressed. It was unusually quiet. The sound of children yelling for me to get out of bed because they were STARVING was missing. Feeling a little nervous, and sure that the kids were up to something, I headed down stairs. There were my little kids, chairs pushed up to the counter, making breakfast. I was so touched by this sweet little act. Caden told me that since I do so much for him he wanted to make me breakfast. I told him how nice that was and asked if he knew it was our anniversary. He said that he didn't, but God must have put that feeling in his heart to make him think to do that. I gave him a big hug and thanked him for being such a wonderful son.
On the menu:
A plate of toast was prepared,

and several eggs had been cracked into a big STOCK POT, ready for, I don't know what !!! I wonder what they would have done with that had I been gone a little longer.

The last part of our delicious meal was the bacon that Caden had put in the microwave himself.
When I took the Bacon out of the microwave for him I was shocked to see that a piece of tinfoil covered the plate. I gasped and said, "did you guys know that you aren't supposed to have tinfoil in the microwave"? Caden said "Sarah told me that you always have to have things covered in the microwave". Now this was true and I just laughed to myself thinking about how the kids pick up on my little obsessive cleanliness needs. This completely distracted me from the tinfoil and I didn't give the microwave another thought.

It was too sunny so Hannah insisted on wearing sun glasses during breakfast.

So it wasn't til days later that Scott noticed the microwave. After much investigating I came to the conclusion that it was in fact the tinfoil that was the culprit. I didn't want to believe it, but after finding a tiny piece of glass on the counter with tinfoil stuck to it, and a tiny piece of burnt tinfoil in the microwave, the evidence was undeniable. I am just so glad that I found out then and not during one of the most wonderful breakfasts I have ever had.

Yeah for sunshine!!!!!!

The sun has finally come out so we have been taking full advantage!!!!!!
Never turn your back.....

Partners in crime!

Hannah and Sarah were so happy that Keoni came over today while his Mom went out. They all played so well together and we had a fun time. I learned first hand however that when you have a pair of two year olds, you DON'T turn your back. I left the kids at the table while I went out to get bread and then the phone rang! As I turned my full attention back to these little rascals (not even 5 minutes had passed) I found these cute kids sitting ON TOP of the table and pulling apart my Easter center piece, launching eggs across the room. Gotta get lunch on the table quicker next time.

More fun Disney shots
The next few posts are from our trip.
Disneyland brought out the crazies!!!!!
Everyone was so happy and giddy that I had to do a little collage of the silly moments. There were a lot of those.
Jedi training

The Jedi training was just amazing! This was one of Caden's favorite parts. Thrilling experience for both the parents and the child. Loved it!!!!!
Meeting a Princess

We put a dress on Sarah and stood in the VERY long line so that she could meet the princesses. She was so good. It was about a 45 min wait and she did not complain once. I caught this precious picture of her just sitting by a wall drawing a picture while she patiently waited. She got to meet, Ariel, Jasmine and Belle. The princesses were lovely of course!!!!

Helping hands

While Caden and Sarah were at school I thought I'd make some more freezer jam with my one little helper. Hannah's job was to help wash the strawberries.

Wait a second, do I see bites out of a bunch of strawberries? Do we have a little mouse?

Or just little helping hands?

Caught in the act!

The funny thing about Hannah is that, as she washed strawberries, she only took one bite out of each then put them back in the sink. Maybe she thought that way I wouldn't notice. Funny girl!

Spring Break!!!!!
I just love "no school" days!!! It is so nice to play with all three of my little kids. While we didn't do too much over sprig break because we just got back from trip, and COLD weather, we managed to sneak in some fun. Here are some shots of some of our activities.
Jam making
We got a good deal on strawberries so we met at our house and made some delicious freezer jam.
(low sugar recipe, thanks Jen and Karin)

We had a house full of kids, but they were great!!! Alex is so good at rounding up the troops and helping out.
Pizza break for the kids.

Pizza break for us and our helpful hubbys

Gotta have quality control.

I took the kids to Pojos for one of our outings (No great pics of that). Afterwards I took them to Carls Jr to have lunch and play We saw Dax and Abby there. It was quite a treat. As we were getting ready to leave Dax gave Hannah a big hug then a kiss. It was precious.

Boise Zoo
We ventured out into the cold for a trip to the zoo with the Hawkes and cousin Jenna. Hannah and Jenna really hit it off.

We can't have free time in this house without some kind of big elaborate art project.
Caden and Sarah made jets out of boxes.

I have finally gotten around to posting some of our trip. It is hard to sort through about 7 days worth of over 400 pics! I love them all but don't need them all on here. I wanted to post our whole trip at once, but have finally come to the conclusion that If I keep telling myself that, it will never happen. Here's the first half and hopefully days 4-7 will be soon to follow.
I think that couponing is taking over my blogging time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it worth it? I got cereal super cheap today. And Strawberries. I made jam......hopefully I get around to posting that too. Scott told me that I can stop spending so much time saving money and go back to blogging. What a man :).

Disneyland here we Come!!!!!!!

We had an 8:30 am flight on Monday morning which meant we had to be to my mom's house by 7:15 to get to the airport by 7:30 (Thanks for taking us Grandpa). I have never seen the kids get ready so quickly. 9am school is WAY too early for Caden, and 8am church is just killer! But when you are getting ready to go to Disneyland, apperantly no time is too early.
Day 1: Long Beach

We got in to LA, California on Monday. We planned on going straight over to California Adventure that day, but after our VERY bumpy plane ride we decided to just hang out on the beach near our condo. The kids thought that was a fine idea and Scott was glad to do some recuperating. He got really sick on the plane. I have travelled by plane quite a bit and I must say I have NEVER been on such a rough flight. I felt like /i was on a really hot and bumpy bus ride.
Despite the crazy flight, the kids were fabulous! Hannah just sat in our lap playing before falling asleep, and Caden and Sarah kept themselves pretty entertained. I was so proud of them!
Day 2: California Adventure

We could not have asked for a better day. The weather was beautiful and the park was was not very busy at all allowing the kids to go on rides over and over again! Minnie was the first character that we saw and there wasn't much of a line so we went to meet her. Sarah wasn't too sure what to think. Hannah didn't want to go to her, but she did keep saying. "mickey mouse". It was super cute.

Water park in California Adventure.

I kind of over dressed the kids. I didn't think it would get so hot. They didn't mind. They played in the little water park then they dried off on the rides. It was just perfect!

Pixar Parade

This was one of the best parts of the trip. The kids loved the parade. We sat in the front and the characters came right up to the kids. Hannah was absolutely captivated. It truly was magical.
