Airport photo shoot
So here we are, the first day into the trip. Scott planned the flight so that we could get in while there was still day light. We got to Providence at 5pm and planned to get our rental car immediately arriving to the airport so that we could drive into CT while there was still some light. We ended up spending the first two hours of our trip sitting on this lovely bench in front of the airport, taking pictures of each other.....CHEESY......... but what more could we do? Scott did curse the name of the expedia travel agent who told him that using U-save car rental company would be a great choice. Only after Scott called and yelled at them 3 times for leaving us stranded at the airport did they come pick us up. Apparently, they rented out the car we booked a week prior to someone else who offered more money. We were told that if we really wanted a car that badly, we could just take the lovely 15 passenger van they had sitting out there. They would even give it to us for the same price as the car (they had already rented out to the highest bidder, what's the point of reserving).
I don't know why they couldn't understand that a couple of tourists didn't want to drive a HUGE 15 passenger van around the big city. In the end , we got a car and Scott had them throw in a GPS for our troubles. It was really helpful in getting us to CT in the dark!

Style over comfort
We got to meet Scarlet for the first time. What a cutie!! We drove all over the place and not a peep out of her except for the occasional giggle. Must be because her parents have her wear her sun glasses everywhere she goes so that the sun doesn't hurt her eyes. you can;t see this, but she is also wearing a pretty stylish belt.
Adrian and Wendy's cute little house is surrounded by really neat churches. It seems like every direction you look, you see a church. I loved to hear the bells chime everyday.
We took a ferry from their town (new London) to Long Island where Scott went to school. New London is in the background.

What a beautiful place! I'm glad you got to go. That stinks that you were stranded at the airport for so long though. I had to laugh about the 15 passanger van. That would have been really funny if you would have taken them up on the offer.
Celeste you look amazing! I really do like your haircut. Scott, you look just dandy yourself! It looks like you guys just had a wonderful time back east! It's crazy to really see a picture of you guys with New york in the back ground!!! It's like a movie thing to me. That's cute that Scarlett sports a pair of sunglasses every where. I hope to meet her someday. Well I loved reading about your trip!
Scarlett looks like the most awesomest baby in the country! Thanks for coming to visit. We had the most splendid time.
